Chiropractic Consultation

Chiropractic consultation is an outpatient visit where a chiropractor assesses musculoskeletal issues like back pain, neck pain, headaches, or joint problems through a detailed history, physical exam, and non-invasive diagnostics to improve spinal alignment, mobility, and overall function without drugs or surgery.​

Purpose

  • Pinpoint the root cause of pain, stiffness, or dysfunction involving the spine, joints, muscles, or nerves, often linked to subluxations or misalignments.​

  • Create a customized, non-surgical care plan based on your symptoms, lifestyle factors, health history, and wellness goals like pain relief or preventive maintenance.​

What happens

  • In-depth discussion of your medical history, current symptoms (onset, severity, triggers, what worsens or relieves them), daily activities, stress levels, prior injuries, surgeries, and treatments tried.​

  • Comprehensive physical exam assessing posture, gait, range of motion, muscle strength, spinal alignment via palpation, orthopedic and neurological tests, and possibly referral for advanced imaging if indicated.​

  • Report of findings explaining the diagnosis, followed by a personalized treatment plan outlining adjustments, soft tissue therapies, exercises, stretches, lifestyle advice, and a typical schedule (e.g., initial intensive phase then maintenance).​

What to bring

  • Complete list of current medications, supplements, allergies, and any prior imaging studies (X-rays, MRIs, CT scans) with digital files prepared for presenting to the doctor.​

  • Detailed notes on pain specifics (location, intensity on a 1-10 scale, radiation patterns), sleep quality, work ergonomics, exercise habits, past chiropractic or physical therapy experiences, and a list of questions or concerns about the process.
